deep winter update and save the date! (march 5)
It’s been a busy winter! I’ve been preparing to open two solo shows months apart. I’m grateful to have had the space and health to work on both. After 18 months, it feels great to see them come together.

Weathered Rock opened on January 29 at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Kitchener-Waterloo. You can read about the exhibition on the Gallery’s website, including a thoughtful text by Senior Curator Peter Flannery.

For this show, I was excited to respond to the building, designed by Patkau Architects in 1988. With its exposed wood, brick, concrete, and glass, my work, made of similar materials, had the opportunity to be in conversation with the space. I only took one photo at the opening! I was a bit overwhelmed but super grateful to share the moment with my partner and son. The exhibition runs until mid-May and (I hope/think!) is best experienced in person! Pics soon!!

Winter Wheat, at The Goldfarb Gallery at York University opens on March 5 from 6-9 pm. Curated by Michael Miranda, the show is the first in a new series to feature a recent alumnus of York University. (I completed my MFA in 2023 at York.)

Read the beauty text by Michael Miranda and RSVP to the opening by following this link.. I am super excited about this one.
